The road down from the desert down was not long, now that you had your destination in sight. Sliding down the huge sand dunes, you soon find yourself at the beach facing towards your next stop;

The Lake

Approaching the first island, coming closer and closer, you could not believe your eyes. The bright blue color was unlike anything you’ve seen in nature before. It is not until you now stand at the beach, glancing out, that you can really make sense of what really brings out the color.

The whole island is made out of coral.

You keep looking out in amazement, as the island is in fact not alone. No, next to the blue island there are three more, all distinct from each other in shape. Although still incredibly grand, the other islands have completely faded to grey, almost looking like they have started to decay. Remembering the markings in the desert tower, you try to look for traces of the colors they once were.

But no matter how much you squint your eyes, you remain unsuccessfull…

You look down to your right to see your guide standing there, and for the first time since your journey started, without a smile on its face. You point your staff towards the coral pathway leading to the island, hinting towards your next destination. In some way, you feel that now is not the right time for you to lead the way.

Standing still for a few minutes, looking out towards the islands, the little creature looks up to you with an expression of gratitude before starting to hop on rocks and coral, out towards your next stop:

The Blue Island

(Chosen by 36%)

Your footsteps click loudly atop the hard surface of the blue coral island. It does not take long to realize in what direction you are being guided, as you start approaching a smooth hill, looking to be carved out of the surface itself. Without any effort, your guide shows with its own example where to place your hands and feet, and shortly, you are atop the hill.

Shimmering in the middle of the hill, something sticks out. Carefully approaching you see what it is; a roughly textured metal shard. You grab it with both hands and pull with all the strength you can find in your body, and allthough fastly set into the corals around it, it starts to move… And finally, lets loose!

As soon as it leaves the coral, you hear a faint sound all around you. First barely hearable, as a soft wind, it expands into a tone, one which you have never heard before. The sound has now found a direction, and as you glance towards it from the top of your hill, something has changed. Where before it stood grey and dull, you can see with your own eyes as bright colors start to spread up from the water. Your next stop is decided;

The Pink Island

(Chosen by 43.1%)

With peculiarly shaped coral formations, the newly turned pink island stands out from its surroundings. Reaching your next point did not require much thinking, following the directions from your first island visit. Atop the largest coral mountain, just as you suspected, sits yet another metal shard. Pulling once again, a sharp sound is let out as you pull the shard from the coral.

Hearing the same sound as before - allthough louder and clearer - you look out to see the same phenomenon as on the blue island. You immediatley know where to head next;

The Green Island

(Chosen by 52.5%)

Pulling out the third shard from the highest spot on the green coral island, the tone is heard again, highet than ever. You look over, and with a huge smile on your face, you see the final coral structures come back to its former colors.

But yet, you feel that something is not as it should be. Signaling towards the circularly shaped island, your guide quickly hops down in its direction. You have your final destination of the lake in sight;

The Yellow Island

(Chosen by 100% (wow guys))

98.4% voted to remove the last shard

Standing firmly at the top of the yellow island, you fix your eyes on the last metal shard, sticking out like a massive splinter in the coral mountain.

With a tug the shard lets loose, and as soon as it does, the ground under your feet starts shaking. The magical tone once again starts to rise, and soon drowns out all noice around you. And now, somehow, the tones origin seems to be coming out of the water…

Looking down into the abyss in the middle of the four islands, the once dark pit starts to brighten up. And suddenly, out of the clear blue water, shoots a beacon of light!

The light travels up, out of the water, and across the sky. You struggle to keep up with its trajectory, but after a few moments, it seems to have stopped. On the opposite side of the lake, on top of a huge stone structure, the light has settled. And with it, the tone as well.

Your surroundings are now completely still, with the wind being the only sound heard around you. Glancing out in the direction of the light, standing tall on top of a massive rock face, you see your next destination piercing out of the mountain underneath;

The Spire

The next stop in The Valley goes live August 12th, 3PM CEST
